Women Build Workday

On Friday May 7th, Central Oklahoma women gathered to celebrate National Women Build Week by joining together to build hope and home for a hard working limited income family in need of better housing.

Developed through the partnership between Lowe’s and Habitat for Humanity, National Women Build Week challenges women to devote at least one day to the effort to eliminate poverty housing. The event is an initiative of Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program, underwritten by Lowe’s, which brings women from all walks of life together to learn construction skills and then use those skills to build simple, decent affordable houses.

Pre-Event Clinic at Lowe’s

A pre-event clinic was held at the Lowe’s on N. May Avenue at NW 38th Street on Monday, April 26. During the clinic Lowe’s experts showed our women volunteers how it’s done so they could hit the ground running on site on May 7.
