Capital Distributing & Henry Hudson's

Delivering hope with a home . . . .

Thanks to Capital Distributing and Henry Hudson’s, Reyna S. and her two young sons are finally settling into a stable, quality, energy-efficient home of their own!  Capital Distributing - a beverage wholesaler servicing the greater Oklahoma City market distributing largely MillerCoors products - combined its efforts with Henry Hudson’s Pubs & Grills, one of its top accounts, to undertake the project.

The two companies presented Central Oklahoma Habitat with a $70,000 check to fund Reyna’s new home in Hope Crossing Neighborhood on Saturday, July 18 as their employees gathered to begin building it.  The new home was completed on Saturday, August 22.

Reflecting on the build, Capital VP of sales and marketing Rick Higginson said, “Helping someone in need like Reyna is gratifying in itself.  When she spoke the first day, [everyone] there was moved.  It has also been a great team building exercise for our company, and doing this project with one of our top accounts has created a strong bond with Henry Hudson’s.”

“Working on the house the first day along with my son was both rewarding and a self fulfilling project to do together to help out someone else,” said Dave Przygocki, Chain Manager for Capital.  “Driving home, Matt (18) turned to me and said, ”˜Dad, that was great.  I can see myself helping out again in the future.’”

The result of their partnership and hard work is a new life full of hope and greater opportunity for a hard working limited income family.  “All my struggles finally have a purpose, which is a home for my children,” said Reyna. “This is a life altering experience and the mere fact that this is our home is a statement in itself.”  With lower housing payments and utility costs her Habitat home will provide, Reyna says she now plans to work toward obtaining a college degree in business management.

Thank you, Capital Distributing and Henry Hudson’s!
