Maxwell Supply Co.
Maxwell’s Christmas gift opened in a blitz.
When Ann Felton discovered an envelope with a check in it for $72,000 and a note saying “Let’s build a home” last December in a box of building supplies donated by Maxwell Supply Company, it was like an unopened Christmas gift full of curiosities. Which family would receive the home? When would construction begin? How would the build go? Would there be children there to enjoy Christmases to come? Well, the gift was opened and the questions answered on May 29 when the “Maxwell House” became “home” to Abraham and Maria C.
Maxwell staff framed the home on May 9 and finished it over the three weeks that followed. Their Christmas spirit in May must have been contagious, because even some of Maxwell Supply’s customers volunteered their time and talents on the construction site to help make the dream of home ownership a reality for this hard-working Oklahoma family. As the house neared completion, Maxwell CEO Jerry Thomason said “Here we are with a house that’s almost ready for the keys, and it’s been a wonderful experience.”
Oh! By the way, in answer to the question about children to enjoy future Christmases”¦ Abraham and Maria’s young son, Jaden, should be just about big enough by then to toddle over and pull the ornaments off the bottom boughs of the tree as they celebrate their first Christmas in their new home this December.
Our sincere gratitude goes out to Maxwell Supply Company, their employees, and their customers for this very special gift.
Thank you, Maxwell Supply!
