Christ the King Build
A “Home” for the Holidays!
Parishioners of Christ the King Catholic Church have joined their hands and hearts together to help Jon and Kathy B. and their three children get out of their two-bedroom apartment and begin a new life in a spacious four-bedroom, two-bath home of their own!
Christ the King members raised the funds to purchase materials and contract labor required for the home and are building it (see photos!) with Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity from October 23 through December 12, 2009. The Holidays this year will be unlike any Jon and Kathy’s family have experienced before.
There is so much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving with many new friends coming together to help this family build a solid, basic, energy efficient home, and the miracle of Christmas will have new meaning as this family begins to experience the profound change in their lives that this new home will bring.
