Northwest Oklahoma City
Central Oklahoma Habitat began its life building in northwest Oklahoma
City, in a inner-city neighborhood called Metro Park, between Linwood and NW 10th, and between Western and Pennsylvania. This neighborhood was positively impacted by the families who bought some 44 homes that were completed in that area. Construction continued further north on 23 additional homes built in the Classen-Ten-Penn area, the most recent of which was completed in 2001.

Three more homes were built in 2002 the 600 block of NW 96th
Street, and two more in the 200 block of NW 83rd Street in 2003.  Several more homes are being completed in this general area of northwest Oklahoma City in 2004.

Historic Preservation Homes

Also, in May and June of 2004, Central Oklahoma Habitat completed its first two homes built to historic preservation requirements, located on NW 16th Street, between Broadway and Robinson, in downtown Oklahoma City.  These two new homes were the first new construction to occur in the Heritage Hills East neighborhood in many years, and are a lovely addition to this quiet, peaceful area.
