Critical Home Repair (CHR) helps low-income homeowners who struggle to maintain their homes due to limitations related to income, age, disability, or other circumstances. Through CHR, homeowners are able to work side-by-side with Central Oklahoma Habitat to restore their home. The program brings together volunteers who put their values to work helping homeowners in need. The end result is homes that are safe and maintained, homeowners who are able to continue to occupy their homes, and renewed neighborhoods.
Do you or someone you know need help making home repairs? Our Critical Home Repair program may be able to help. To qualify you must meet the following criteria:
- Occupy the home where the work is to be completed and be the owner of record of the home (proof will be required).
- Contribute 60 hours of sweat equity by volunteering with Central Oklahoma Habitat to the best of your ability before work begins on your home.
- Provide a current copy of your OG&E electric bill to receive additional weatherization repairs.
- Be a limited-income homeowner under HUD guidelines. (Applicant will be asked to document current income.)
