Build Together
Habitat homes are built through the generosity of our donors and volunteers. Volunteering for a single day or a full house build helps reduce our labor costs, which in turn allows us to purchase more building materials, tools and other necessities to get our families into their new homes.
Team Building at Its Best
Once your team is signed up, Central Oklahoma Habitat provides the training and leadership for your group to start building. Groups quickly discover how successful they can be when working together as a team. They will also discover that nothing relieves stress quite like hitting nails with a hammer!
Contact Rick Lorg at rick.lorg@cohfh.org to schedule your corporate workdays. We can work with all group sizes and have some custom scheduling options. We will set up an online sign-up schedule for your groups. All volunteers will fill out a profile and sign the e-waiver at www.helpmyhabitat.com.
Full House: Eight-Week Commitment
Up to 25 people will build one day per week on one home for eight consecutive weeks. We work Tuesday through Saturday and schedule no volunteers for Sunday or Monday.
- Regular Hours: Weekdays 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Summer Hours (Memorial Day through Labor Day): 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Team Build: One-Day Commitment
Up to 25 people can build for one day on a Central Oklahoma Habitat house. We work Tuesday through Saturday.
- Regular Hours: Weekdays 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Summer Hours (Memorial Day through Labor Day): 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Critical Home Repair
There are volunteer opportunities available for smaller group sizes with our Critical Home Repair program. Workdays are Thursday through Saturday, but we can accommodate your group most days with advance notice.
- Regular Hours: Weekdays 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Summer Hours (Memorial Day through Labor Day): 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
