Critical Home Repair August 2026 Volunteer Newsletter

We invite you to continue making a real difference in our homeowners’ lives this month. We know that volunteering in August requires a little extra, but there’s no question that the Oklahoma heat makes this work especially urgent. Our critical repairs and weatherization services help our low-income homeowners stay safer and more comfortable during our hottest months. Your helping hands and just a few hours of your time can help a neighbor remain in the home they love and have worked hard to keep.

We are taking on three home repair projects across four volunteer work periods in August. Whether you are an experienced tradesperson or have no construction experience, there is a place for you on our team. We will provide the tools, guidance, and, yes, plenty of cold water! Please review the dates and select the opportunity that works best for you. The temperature is temporary. The difference you make will last.
