Habitat Shines at OCU’s Back to School Bash and Involvement Fair

Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity (COHFH) Executive Administrative Assistant Jasmine Wallace and Critical Home Repair Coordinator and Spanish Liaison Miryam “Mim” Roper hosted an information booth at Oklahoma City University’s annual Back to School Bash and Involvement Fair on Aug. 27, 2026, on the OCU Quad Lawn.
They distributed brochures and candy while encouraging students to volunteer, visit Habitat ReStores and learn more about COHFH’s New Home Construction and Critical Home Repair programs.
Wallace said the event provided a great opportunity to learn more about OCU’s student organizations and sports teams while sharing the benefits of volunteering with Habitat.
“The college students were very engaged and interested in Habitat, and we shared how they can volunteer in the future,” Wallace said.
