OKLAHOMA CITY — 405 Magazine has named Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity (COHFH) Chair/CEO Ann Felton Gilliland its HER 2026 Humanitarian, celebrating her more than 36 years of service helping families build stability through affordable homeownership.
The feature, written by Evie Klopp Holzer with photography by Shevaun Williams, traces Felton Gilliland’s journey from volunteer board member in 1990 to chair and CEO in 2002. It highlights her work bringing together donors, volunteers and staff to expand Habitat’s impact across Central Oklahoma.
For Felton Gilliland, that impact is most meaningful in the lives of Habitat’s homeowners and their children.
“It’s a life-changing experience for the whole family when they get into their own home in their own neighborhood,” Felton Gilliland told the magazine.
The story and photo spread also offer a personal reflection as she prepares to retire Dec. 31. Habitat’s new CEO, Camal Pennington, joins Habitat tomorrow.
“I feel so fortunate that I’ve had the opportunity to be on this journey for the last 36 years and to meet all the wonderful families,” she said. “They have all been such a blessing in my life.”
