Pilar Cipollone Named Honorary WomenBuild Chair 2025 by Habitat
OKLAHOMA CITY—Pilar Cipollone proves that sometimes you can, at least temporarily, go home again.

Cutline 2: Honorary WomenBuild Chair 2025 Pilar Cipollone loves Central Oklahoma Habitat and is happy to return as a volunteer and board member.
For 13 years, Pilar worked for Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity in various capacities, including as the nonprofit’s Hispanic liaison and director of Family Services. Her efforts helped Habitat expand its reach into Oklahoma’s Hispanic community, and many of the nonprofit’s limited-income families today feel they owe her and Habitat a debt of gratitude for helping their dreams of homeownership come true.
Since coming to Oklahoma City in 2005, Pilar has also held leadership positions in south Oklahoma City, including serving as vice president of the SW 29th Street District Association. She has also been honored as a leader with numerous awards, including being named the “Ambassador of the Year” by the Greater Oklahoma City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 2015 and 2016. Pilar is also married to Angelo Cipollone and is the proud mother of two grown children, Izzy and Brandon.
U.S. Congressman Frank D. Lucas’s (R-OK-3) District Office took notice of Pilar’s accomplishments and hired her as his field representative in early 2023. Pilar now attends meetings, events and conducts staff outreach on behalf of his district office. Despite her many work, family and volunteer responsibilities, Pilar serves as a board member for Central Oklahoma Habitat’s Critical Home Repair program. She also annually leads a group of Latina women volunteers during Habitat for Humanity’s WomenBuild.
Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity Chair and CEO Ann Felton Gilliland said the WomenBuild brings together volunteers from diverse backgrounds to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals and families seeking affordable housing.
“I’m proud Pilar is our Honorary WomenBuild chair this year.” Felton Gilliland said. “She has distinguished herself as a leader in the Hispanic community, as a Habitat volunteer and now she helps leadership on a U.S. Congressional level in the decision-making process involving south Oklahoma City,” Felton Gilliland. “Pilar has accomplished so much, and we look forward to working with her during our WomenBuild and beyond.”
Pilar said she is grateful to the many people at Habitat who helped her grow. She was especially inspired by Felton Gilliland early in her career and has always wanted to follow in her footsteps.
“Our WomenBuild is a great opportunity to empower all women, and I plan to bring my group of Latina women, too,” Pilar said. “The ladies have fun while helping others. I love it because it’s so rewarding, and I always say the best day is Frame Day!”
Pilar said she’s excited that Supermercados Morelos, a leading regional chain of Hispanic American supermarkets, will also help sponsor the first WomenBuild Frame Day, which is scheduled for May 17, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cornerstone Creek in far northwest Oklahoma City.
Supermercados Morelos will also provide lunch when the Latina women’s group volunteers help build the WomenBuild house on a date that will be decided in the future.
