Homeowner #1040 – Shakayla is the mother of two.  She had thought about homeownership, but was too scared to start the process and worried about rejection.  A friend told her about Habitat for Humanity and she is “thankful for this program that has helped my family get in our own home.”   Shakayla also “had the opportunity to volunteer and meet new people and assist other families with helping to build their house and that is a special experience.”
