Homeowner #1092 – Olga C. wears many hats. She’s a background investigator III for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, she’s raised three children and is raising one of her four grandsons since her oldest daughter, April, passed away in 2018. A part of Olga C.’s job is to help keep children safe by ensuring they go to good placement homes, so she knew she really wanted a safe and secure house where she could raise her teenage grandson.

Today, Olga C. and Juan, 14, live in a new Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity (COHFH) home. COHFH and members of the community held a home dedication celebration for her and her grandson on Jan. 25, 2024, at a Habitat house in Spencer, Oklahoma.

“Thank you for making this a reality for me,” Olga C. said, after being handed house keys by COHFH Chair/CEO Ann Felton Gilliland. “I am so grateful for the opportunity.”
