New Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity (COHFH) homeowner El Cruz L. celebrated the dedication of his southwest Oklahoma City home with a joyful dance step after receiving gifts, gift certificates and the keys on May 23, 2024.

El Cruz thanked COHFH, community members and his family, especially his mother, Victoria. He credited her with helping him complete many of his sweat-equity hours while he attended classes at Metro Tech.

A self-described comedian, actor, civil rights activist, constitutionalist and film and music video director, El Cruz said he regularly recommends COHFH’s New Home Construction program to friends. He has already distributed three applications and encourages others not to wait.

“Don’t put it on the back burner; if you need something done, do it now!” El Cruz said.

As a Christian housing ministry, COHFH believes everyone deserves a safe, secure and decent place to live. Volunteers can help build or repair homes, donate new or gently used items to a COHFH ReStore or make a financial contribution.
