Robin C. spoke during the home dedication celebration held by Habitat on August 28, 2024, in northeast Oklahoma City, along with the 2024 Women Build Chair and Oklahoma County District Attorney Vicki Behenna. Robin C. said she can’t wait to see her son, Rashon, age 9, who has developmental disabilities, play and be “free to be himself” in their beautiful new home.”

Just seeing him happy … that’s enough for me …” Robin said, smiling. Her mother said she’s grateful to Habitat and that not having to pay a down payment helps. Behenna, who helped frame a house last spring with her team from the DA’s office, said Habitat is a nonprofit that substantially benefits the community.
“To be able to see a home built from the dirt up to what it looks like now, it is a wonderful thing,” Behenna said.
