Paralegal Audry C. and her three children left years of unsafe rental conditions for a new Central Oklahoma Habitat home at Cornerstone Creek.

Family Makes ‘Life-Changing’ Move to Safe New Home

For six years, Audry C., a paralegal and mother of three, rented a house with sagging floors, pest problems and faulty wiring. She described moving into her new Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity (COHFH) home as “life-changing” for her family.

On May 15, 2025, Audry and her children celebrated the purchase of their new, energy-efficient and affordable home during a dedication at Cornerstone Creek in far northwest Oklahoma City.

Audry thanked COHFH staff, Gateway Mortgage loan officer Alba Santiago and home-build sponsor Comfortworks for helping make her new home possible.

“It has been quite a journey. I want to express my gratitude to everyone who made this day possible,” Audry said. “Comfortworks sponsored my home build, and Comfortworks Chairman Dan Ellis brought his whole group to my framing day — the level of professionalism and teamwork you displayed was unmatched. Thank you so much.

"None of this would have been possible without you.”

Comfortworks Inc., a geothermal heating and cooling contractor, has installed geothermal systems in hundreds of COHFH homes during its nearly two decades of partnership with the organization.
