Former Hope Is Alive (HIA) Ministries employee Jack M. said he felt “incredibly blessed” to celebrate the dedication of his new home with Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity and members of the community on May 29, 2025, at his new Cornerstone Creek house in Oklahoma City. In his New Home Construction program application, Jack stated that although he felt lost for most of his 20s, he decided to turn his life around, restarted attending church, discovered new, healthy hobbies such as running and weightlifting, and cultivated like-minded friends.

Jack worked for HIA Ministries for several years before becoming an inside sales relationship manager for Heartland in September 2025. He said he’s grateful to Habitat for “blessing me with this opportunity.”

“Being a homeowner means having something of my own … something to be proud of that I earned,” Jack said. “Establishing roots in Oklahoma by having a home of my own gives me a sense of just settling into a place where I can invite family and friends, build a life and establish a future. It is exciting for me!”
