For Taylor S. and Amber W.S, raising their almost-4-year-old son meant navigating constant financial strain. In their New Home Construction program application, Taylor wrote that high rent was devouring their income and leaving little room to save for an education or a future.

“We are juggling between managing daily expenses and ensuring that we can afford to pay our rent each month,” Taylor wrote. “The constant pressure of meeting these high costs leaves us with little room to invest in other areas, such as my partner’s education and saving for our child’s future. A Habitat home would provide us with the financial relief we desperately need.”

On August 28, the couple realized their goal during a dual home dedication with Brett M. in Cornerstone Creek. After the young couple received the keys to their home, Taylor said they are grateful for the opportunity to buy their new home.

“This home gives us the financial relief we desperately need,” he said.
