Ron N. Jr. Invests in His Family’s Future Through Habitat

“Ron” N. Jr. knows a lot about second chances.

As director of Second Chance Sober Living, he and his fiancée, Patricia L., help others rebuild their lives through faith and recovery.

On Oct. 16, 2025, Ron and his family of six celebrated the dedication of the home they purchased through Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity’s New Home Construction program.

Ron’s father, Ron N. Sr., offered a heartfelt blessing during Ron Jr.’s Habitat home dedication celebration on Oct. 16, 2025. EOG Resources’ Oklahoma City volunteers also attended the event. The company sponsored the home build, and volunteers worked seven consecutive build days that began in June.

Second Chance Sober Living is a spiritually based 12-step nonprofit that operates four drug-free homes for people in
recovery. Ron and Patricia help residents maintain sobriety and stability.

When applying for Habitat homeownership, Ron shared that homeownership would be
“a great blessing” for his family.

“We were tired of renting and decided to invest in our family’s future by buying our home
through Habitat,” Ron said.

“Renting a four-bedroom home was simply out of reach.”
