‘It’s Lovely and Mine Now’: Angelica B. Celebrates Habitat Home

Angelica B.’s smile said it all. She and her two sons celebrated her Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity (COHFH) home dedication with community members and local clergy on Oct. 10, 2024, in Spencer, Oklahoma.

When asked what she liked best about her new home, Angelica, a title clerk for an auto group, smiled and held up her new house keys.

“It’s lovely and mine now!” she said. “It’s a blessing!”

In her application for COHFH’s New Home Construction program, Angelica wrote that she had always worked to provide the best life possible for her family but sometimes struggled while doing so on her own. She continued working toward homeownership because she believed owning a home would provide greater stability for her family.

“My dream was always to own a home,” Angelica wrote. “Thanks to God and Habitat for Humanity, now that dream is becoming a reality.”
