Young Insurance Professional Grateful for New Habitat Home

A committed insurance professional, Jaden C. used to live in Edmond, Oklahoma, but has enthusiastically embraced her new Habitat home in Cornerstone Creek. On Jan. 30, 2025, she celebrated the dedication of her new home with Central Oklahoma Habitat and community members. In her application to qualify for a Habitat home, Jaden stated she experienced a variety of transitions during her early life and other challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I was adopted when I was 2, and grew up on the beautiful island of Guam before moving to Washington state at age 18 to pursue better educational and career opportunities,” Jaden stated. “However, the outbreak of COVID-19 brought unexpected challenges that led to me losing two jobs and stopping my schooling. In response, I decided to move to Oklahoma to be closer to my birth family.”

During her home dedication, Jaden said she appreciates her new home at Cornerstone Creek. “I’m grateful to everyone here,” she said. “We’re very grateful. Thanks so much!”

Jaden’s house is the 1,119th home built by Central Oklahoma Habitat since 1990.
