The Gift Will Help Fund Infrastructure for Over 200 New Homes in Central Oklahoma Habitat’s Largest Affordable Housing Development

OKLAHOMA CITY—The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation has awarded Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity (COHFH) a $750,000 gift to help fund Phase II of Cornerstone Creek, the nonprofit’s largest-ever affordable housing development, located in far northwest Oklahoma City.

The donation will accelerate the installation of critical infrastructure needed to support Phase II’s next 210 homes at the 160-acre site, paving the way for additional new, energy-efficient and affordable homes that limited- to moderate-income individuals and families can purchase at cost and without a down payment through Habitat’s homeownership program.

COHFH Chair/CEO Ann Felton Gilliland said the Noble Foundation’s investment represents a significant step forward for working families across the Oklahoma City metro.

“The Noble Foundation’s generous support allows us to move Phase II forward with confidence, ensuring that land development, utilities and infrastructure are in place so families can begin building long-term stability through homeownership,” Felton Gilliland said. “They understand that stable, affordable housing strengthens families, improves health and educational outcomes and creates more resilient communities.”

She said Phase II represents the next chapter in a long-term vision centered on thoughtful land use, neighborhood stability and attainable homeownership.

“The Noble Foundation’s gift removes barriers that prevent hardworking families from accessing safe, stable housing and accelerates our next phase of development,” Felton Gilliland said.

Habitat has already made steady progress at Cornerstone Creek, transforming the former farmland into a growing neighborhood where more than 40 families now live, with hundreds more planned. On Thursday, Jan. 8, COHFH celebrated its 1,153rd home dedication since 1990.

“We are deeply grateful to the Noble Foundation for believing in this work and in the families we serve,” Gilliland said. “This investment strengthens Cornerstone Creek today and ensures its impact will be felt for generations.”
